Baby Shower Games
Take My AdviceThis is really not a game, but it creates a treasured keepsake for the expectant parents. Purchase a nice journal and pass it around to the baby shower guests during the sower. Ask the guests to write some advice or words of encouragement, etc for the new mom. Present this as a gift to her at the end of the shower. This works best for first time parents. You may want to make a note on the shower invitations that this will be done, so the baby shower guests can think of what they would like to write.
Thanks In Advance
This is really not a game, but it is a big time saver for the expectant parents. The hostess buys Thank You cards ahead of time and has baby shower guests write their name and address on the envelope. Have a drawing from the envelopes and that guest gets a prize. The expectant parents gets the Thank You notes. All that's left for the expectant parents to do is to insert cards and mail.
Pin The Item on The Baby
This game plays like the classic Pin The Tail on the Donkey. Using a large posterboard and a magic marker, draw a rather large picture of a baby. Use a separate piece of paper to draw and cut out a picture of a diaper, bottle, pacifier, rattle, or whatever your imagination can dream up. Use double sided sticky tape on the back. Blindfold your baby shower guests and have them try to stick the bottle, diaper or pacifier on the correct part of the baby's anatomy. The person baby shower guest closest to the intended target wins.
Pin the Item on the Baby Boy
This is a little trick to play on either the expectant parent, or a good natured guest. Set the game up the same as above, only this time ask the player you intend to be the victim to go first. After having put on the blindfold, have someone sneak up and spray your victim with a small water gun. Use only on those with a generous sense of humor.
Bottle Bowling Alley
Set up 10 baby bottles in a triangle shape starting with 1 in the front followed by two, three, and four. Give players a tennis ball or other small ball, and have them try their luck at knocking down all 10 bottles. Lucky bowler with the best score wins.
